The last day of the national foal show, july 31st, the two-year-olds. The grand final was held in Mikkeli, where nations best 2-year-old finnhorses were shown.

Kipinämikko (judged as a trotter), owned by Veli-Pekka Syrjälä and Pirjo-Liisa Allonen from Alajärvi, won a 1500€ reward and free participation to the Derby.

- We bought him from his breeder when he was one month old. We have taken it slow with him, swimming in summer and driving now and then in winter, told Veli-Pekka Syrjälä. He spent last summer at pasture with other 2-year-old stallions and was taken from there a few weeks ago. He has settled a lot.

- Now we have a little vacation before putting him in harness again, though he's not going to pasture this summer, planned Syrjälä.
